Both our boys favorite toy!  
After reading the other mediocre reviews for this airplane I felt I had to write in to tell of our experience with it. We bought it for my older sons third birthday THREE YEARS AGO. It was his favorite toy for over a year and he still plays with it on a regular basis incorporating it into his now elaborate playmobil schemes. Also our younger son is now three and it has been HIS favorite toy for months now.

The airplane is still in mint condition despite all the vigorous use it gets and we have somehow managed not to lose all the fun accessories (alright a juice box and a mug or two are AWOL but the rest is still in regular use). The fact that the wings and tail break off easily is intentional and brilliant in my opinion because otherwise the airplane would have broken into shards and been ruined from its frequent "flights". By the time my older son was four he could easily snap it back together himself.

One of the best  

Our son loves this toy. The details are accurate the size is ideal for a small child and because of a very study design it is practically indestructible! I only wish playmobil made more models. (yes there are many small parts that we have added back as he has grown into the toy- also a great point- it is sophisticated enough to last more than 6-8 months) : 2010-09-16 04:09:58

My son still loves it!  
My son received this as a gift for his 3rd birthday. It was easy to put together and I was impressed with the attention to detail on this toy. The doors and decals mainly. There are several small parts that can easily be put in a plastic bag and put away. It has been over a year and this airplane still "flies" around our house. My son loves it. The only reason that this review is not carrying 4 stars is due to a minor annoyance. The tail section and the wheels seem to always be coming off. They are easily snapped back on but it is irritating to be fixing the bloody thing every 5 minutes. As my son has gotten older I have taught him how to fix it himself. I guess the key thing here is that the toy can be fixed. I would rather snap the thing back together than deal with a truly broken toy. : 2010-09-16 04:09:58

playmobil airplane  
This was a gift for my four-year-old grandson who is totally into airplanes at the moment. He loves the playmobil. He sleeps with it. It sits at the table with him. He says to it I love you airplane." I think you could call it a success.

It does have a few small parts juice boxes etc. that are sure to get lost. : 2010-09-16 04:09:58

Solid and Well Built  
Our son got this toy for his B-Day and over the past month this plane has had more crash landings than a crash test car. Yet it has held up extrememly well. It is a big toy and he loves to play with it. Built of solid plastic I thought the 1st time he threw it on the hardwoods it would be in pieces but not even a scratch. The details are pretty cool but be aware that there are many small parts so keep away from babies. : 2010-09-16 04:09:58
